Turning Leaf Rally 2008 In Arundel, Maine * New England Dragway Victory Night in Epping, New Hampshire
Brrrr!!! That about sums it up for both days of riding. Our Rally started on Friday, October 3rd with a night out at New England Dragway! Victory owners came out from all around the North East to see what their bike would do on the quarter mile. Times ranged from 11.3 to 13.5. Some bikes were stock, while others were tuned by Lloydz. Very impressive! We called it an early night as we had to get up early the next morning to make the long and cold trek up to Bentley's Saloon for the Turning Leaf Rally.
So 6:45 am on October 4th rolled around and
35 degrees! We all kept saying to ourselves, "what are we doing?"
It was cold, but the chapter still managed to gather 10 bikes and 13 people
to ride up to Maine on this very chilly morning! One group left from
HK Powersports in Hooksett, NH and the other left from the Alton Circle in
Alton, NH. We arrived at Bently's with enough time to take in the
sites and sit down
to have a wonderful breakfast. We figured about 125 bikes showed up
for this event, which was sponsored by Victory and supported by Mainly
Action Sports and Rochester Sports Center.
At 10:30 am, the Rally started and we were headed south to our destination point...The Hawgs Pen! The foliage was turning and the roads were smooth. We had a great time! After the ride, our chapter headed over to Wild Willeys for some lunch. Then it was time to call it a day and head home. It was an excellent time, I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Unfortunately, the GSC riding season has come to a close. Next year is guaranteed to be 10 time better! A big thank you to the members of the Granite State Chapter for a successful first year!
Attention New Hampshire!
Do you have a Victory Motorcycle? You do? Great, join us as we ride in on the Manchester Wolves Arena Football Game at the Verizon Wireless Arena starting April of 2009! Score yourself some free tickets for the games if you join the Granite State Chapter and ride in on their home games! Contact us at info@granitestatechapter.com to learn more!
Let us know if your interested!
March of Dimes Ride * September 21, 2008
The Ride started at HK
Powersports in Hooksett, New Hampshire where we all met. The group left HK
and headed to Heritage Harley Davidson in Concord for the March of Dimes
Ride headed for Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center. The heads turned and then the fingers
pointed, as the
group of Victory Motorcycles pulled into the Harley shop. It was awesome, just makes us
proud of the American Made Motorcycles that we own!
The weather was great as
usual this time of year! In attendance was roughly 500 bikes parked in the
back parking lot of Heritage. As we traveled through Concord, Loudon,
Gilmanton Iron Works, and Belmont we couldn't help but notice what 500
bikes really looks like as we crest hills and look down on the pack in front
of us! Eventually we made our way to Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center
for entertainment and food! As usual the food was fantastic and the
music performed by Chafe set the mood for a great biker gathering. On
the BBQ was Chicken, Steak Tips, and all the fixings. During this
event, the March of Dimes was presented with $500,000 check! Great job
everyone that donated to this event!
This was an excellent event and we hope to see a stronger Victory presence
next year!
